Essie Ruth Fine Miller passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville with her family members by her side following an extended illness.
Mrs. Miller was born July 11, 1931 in Cedar Key to Hardy Fine and Nadine Skinner Fine Brown.
Mrs. Miller was raised in Cedar Key and was a lifelong resident of Levy County. Mrs. Miller was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker and loved providing for her family and gave unconditional love to her grandchildren who referred to her as Ga-Ga.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Horace Fine and Nathan Fine.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Nathan Miller of Chiefland; daughters, Betty A. (Harry) Watson of Chiefland, Andina M. (Jack) Jackson of Kingsport, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Hardeetown United Methodist Cemetery, Chiefland.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland.
