Geneva C. Trowbridge, 93, of Chiefland passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Haven Hospice of Chiefland.

Born in Jan. 17, 1920 at LaCrosse, she was the daughter of David Frederick and Laura Hill Conerly.
She was a homemaker and former owner of Trowbridge Dry Goods.
A member of Chiefland First Baptist Church and active in the Lydia Sunday School class, she also enjoyed serving the Lord as a teacher and faithful friend. A loving mother and grandmother, Nana was an avid reader, the Bible being at the top of her list.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. N. Trowbridge; an infant son, Billy; four brothers, Leon, Fred, Edwin and David Conerly; five sisters, an infant, Oveda Doke, Blanche Baxter, Vera Cellon and Louise Hazen and a son-in-law, LeGary Busby.
She is survived by two daughters, Lillian Busby of Valdosta, Ga. and Vera (Luther) Beauchamp of Chiefland; four grandchildren, Mike (Angelica) Busby of Ray City, Ga., Jeff (Mitiz) Busby of Quitman, Ga,, Laura (Bobby) Hutto of Dublin, Ga. and Lance (Tiffany) Beauchamp of Tallahassee; 11 great-grandchildren, Jesse (Brandi) Busby, Joe Busby, Jackson Busby, Marissa Busby, Josh Hutto, Savannah Hutto, Jacob Hutto, Jordan Hutto, Olivia Hutto, Amelia Hutto, Melody Hutto, Novah Hutto and Lila Beauchamp.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Chiefland with the Rev. Gordon Keller officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, LaCrosse at 2:30 p.m. Family visitation will be Tuesday, June 4 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, Chiefland.
