Jerry D. Driggs
FRANKFORT: On October 1, 2013, Jerry D. Driggs, unexpectedly left this earthly home to be with the Savior he loved and adored.
Jerry was a devoted family man who loved his wife, Cyndy (Harper) and his children, Janae and Levi.
Jerry was the Business Incubator Manager at the Ohio State University's South Centers Endeavor Center. He was an active member of Chillicothe Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for over 25 years, started a prison Bible study and helped with the Upwards Football Program. He also coached varsity wrestling at Unioto High School and was assistant girls basketball coach for many years. He had vivaciousness for life and wiffle ball that touched many people's lives.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim and Shelli Driggs, Mike and Jill Bowers, Jay and Joy Schankman, Jeff Driggs, Jamie and Jo Taylor; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Sue Harper; and a brother-in-law, Jon and Linda Harper. "Uncle Jerry" had many nieces, nephews and friends, including a special cousin, Dave Cooper, whose lives he brightened with his youthful enthusiasm.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Kohn); and his father, Jim Driggs, Sr.
Jerry will be sadly missed, but his love for his Savior will live on.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 5, at the Chillicothe Baptist Church, with Pastor John Burris officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call Friday from 6-7:30pm at HALLER FUNERAL HOME.

I am very sorry to hear of Jerry's sudden passing. Jerry and I graduated from CHS together in 1981 and were on the wrestling team. He left a lasting impression on me as simply an all-around great guy. I admired his character, his friendliness, humble confidence, happiness and work ethic. I'm sure I speak for our entire CHS wrestling team when I say we are truly sorry to lose one of our very best. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, which I know was his life's focus and source of joy.

Cyndy and family, my heart breaks for you all. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I was lucky to work with Jerry at Mead Paper. It was my first IT job. I knew him as the girl's coach at my school, Unioto and so to work with him was a privilege. Back in 1995 it was my first corporate job and I remember to this day him giving me encouragement and helping me learn how to navigate the corporate world . He was and still is a great inspiration to me. You will all be in my prayers. Warm Christian Love.

The Driggs Family... We are so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. A man of strong character and faith, a Godly example to all who knew him. I coached Jerry at Chillicothe High. A great wrestler with a committed work ethic and strong Christian values. Later our paths came together on the softball field... what a player. Jerry lived a life of faith and hope... today he is walking with Jesus. Jerry will be sadly missed, but he has won the race!
