B. Pauline (Detty) Weeks

SPRINGFIELD: B. Pauline (Detty) Weeks, 88, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

She was born May 7, 1924 in Ross County, Ohio, the daughter of Chancey and Myrl (Poole) Detty.

Pauline had formerly been employed with OMCO Products. She was instrumental in founding the Vernon Murphy Baseball Association, and she enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

Survivors include four children, Carol (Bill) Sharp of Silva, North Carolina, Sue (Randy) Schofield of Mechanicsburg, Micheline Kaye "Mickie" (Daniel) DeWitt of South Vienna, and Howard Wendell "Howie" (Misty) Weeks, Jr. of Maryville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, C.J. (Adelcia) Parcels, Chris (Dawn) Parcels, Heather (David) Underwood, Toby (Mary) Schofield, Carrie Fischer, Nicholas Drugmand, Ashley Drugmand, Kyle Weeks, Clinton Weeks, and Jeremy Kelley, 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura "Toot" (Ora) Davis of Circleville, Ohio and Patty Rinehart of Londonderry, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wendell Weeks in 1997; a daughter, Bonnie Weeks; brothers, Sigel Detty, Darrell Detty, Raymond Detty, Gene Detty, and Bob Detty; sisters, Elizabeth "Sis" Miller, Mary "Bon" Lynch, Grace Griffin, and infant sister, Betty Detty; and her parents.

Friends may call for visitation on Friday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
