CHILLICOTHE: Bonnie M. Atkins, 80, of Chillicothe, died 5:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Traditions of Chillicothe following an extended illness.

She was born September 9, 1932, in Austin, OH, to the late Joseph and Frances Dennewitz Harmon.

Surviving are sons, William J. (Teresa) Atkins, Randall S. (Lisa) Atkins, both of Chillicothe and Jason S. Atkins and his girlfriend, Rebecca Walters, both of Kingston; grandchildren, Nicole Atkins, Shannon Atkins, Jason (April) Miller, J.R. Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Avery and Reese Miller; a niece, Teresa Wickline, a nephew, Robert (Judy) Harmon, Jr.; many friends including special friends, Kathy Holdren, Frances Siberell and Wanda Haskins; special cousins, Harold (Janice) Inman, of Maine and Bill (Lee) Inman, of Arizona; and her special feline companion, Bruce.

She was predeceased by and infant daughter, Sondra Gene Atkins; a brother, Robert Eugene Harmon; a sister-in-law, Virginia Harmon; and special felines, Callie Ann, Tiki and Pumpkin.

In her early years she attended High Street CCCU and for many years attended Tabernacle Baptist Church and was baptized by Rev. Charles Lusher. She was a graduate of C.H.S. class of 1950 and attended O.U. Branch in Chillicothe. She was retired from Ross County Human Services.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Clint Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call at Wares one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
