Charlotte Taylor Uhrig
SANFORD, FL: Charlotte Taylor Uhrig, 80, of Sanford, FL passed away on Monday July 8, 2013, after a short hospital stay. Charlotte was born November 23, 1932, in Casey County, Kentucky to the late John Chester and Edith Anna Taylor. She married the former Paul Keil Uhrig, Sr. on May 29th, 1954, and was married for 52 years.
Surviving are a son, Keil (Sheryl) Uhrig, of Pickerington, OH, daughters, Ann (Vic) Gitzke, of Sanford, FL and Mary (Jerry) Murphy, of Pataskala, OH; a brother-in-law, Dr. Frank Uhrig, of Chillicothe; OH; grandchildren, Ashley Uhrig, Joel and Christopher Gitzke, Amber (Rob) Belanger, Megen (Jason) Osborn and Rory Murphy; sisters Colleen (Don) Boyd and Anna Kathryn Delong; and great grand children Zoe and Ian Belanger and Jessica McMahen; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Philip Taylor Uhrig, brother-in-law, Jack Delong and nephew, Rick Boyd.
Charlotte was a 1954 graduate of Jewish Hospital of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH; received her Master of Business Administration from Ohio State University
in 1972; and Health Care Risk Manager License from AHCA through the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine in 1990. She was a member of the Episcopalian Church and had previously been employed as a Registered Nurse, Director of Nursing, Nursing Home Administrator and Hospital Director of Risk Management. Charlotte was previously on the Hospice Board of Directors in Ocala, FL.
Graveside services will be held 11 am, Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery in Chillicothe, Ohio and arrangements are under the direction of the Ware Funeral Home.
