WAVERLY: Donald E. Cuckler, 80, of Waverly, died 10:33 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born April 27, 1933, in Alma, to the late Clarence and Elsie Wells Cuckler. On April 1, 1958, he married the former Ollie M. Adams, who survives.

\Also surviving are children, Beverly (Gary) Dunn, of Waverly, Brenda (Mark) Zickafoos, of Washington C.H., Donna (Randy) Frisby, and Charles (Lora) Cuckler, both of Waverly, Peggy (Bob) Delay, of Piketon, Rick (Trish) Cuckler, Donald (Malinda) Cuckler and David (Amy) Cuckler, all of Waverly; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Workman and Adelene Justice, both of Waverly, and Shirley Brown, of Chillicothe; a brother, Kenneth Cuckler, of Piketon.

He was predeceased by a grandson and a sister, Juanita Cuckler.

Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver for the former Brewer and Brewer.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jim Cuckler and Dr. Mike Cuckler officiating. Burial will follow in the Cuckler Family Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ft. Knox and Ross County Veterans Honor Guards. Friends may call at Wares from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The family would like to thank Dr. Detty and the Blue Team Staff at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for their help and caring.

Donald was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
