Elmer E. Robison, Jr

CHILLICOTHE: Elmer E. Robison, Jr., 89, of Chillicothe, passed from this world to his Heavenly Father at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 in Traditions of Chillicothe following a brief illness.

He was born September 13, 1924, in Circleville, to the late Elmer E. Sr. and Katherine Woods Robison. On October 6, 1946, he married the former Charlotte M. Greenlee who passed November 14, 1999.

Surviving are children, Greg (Robin) Robison, Kathy (Fred) Fairrow, Laurie (Jeff) Madden and Vikki (David) Holdren, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, John and Greg, Jr., Robison, Lori Brofft, Michelle (Mike) McNish, Tiffany Lovensheimer, Peter Lovensheimer, Samantha Holdren, Shasta Madden and her fiance, Ryan Slaughter, Gretchen (Jordan) Howard, Jeffrey Madden and Jessica (Drew) Benner; numerous great grandchildren; a special niece, Kim (Glen "Corky") Fulton, of Grove City; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by a sister.

Elmer was a member of Open Door Fellowship. He retired from Columbus Southern Ohio Electric Company. Elmer was a lifetime member of the Mt. Logan Riding Club and was very active in Ross County 4-H with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a former 4-H Advisor and a United States Army veteran having served during World War II.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 in Open Door Fellowship with Pastor Mark Pfeifer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
