Glenola M. Carroll
CHILLICOTHE: Glenola M. Carroll, 74, of Chillicothe, died 11:05 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness.
She was born March 29, 1938, in Ross County, to the late Glenn and Esther Mannering Lions. On August 17, 1963, she married Vernon Carroll who survives.
In addition to her husband; surviving are children, Terry F. (Cathy) Carroll, of Londonderry, Toni (Dr. Robert L.) Davis, of Jacksonville, FL, Tim (Brenda) Carroll, of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy (John) Cutright, of Chillicothe, Clyde Jr. (Teresa) Bosstic, of Columbus and Linda (Charley Sr.) Hopper, of Chillicothe; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (Vicky) Lions, of Chillicothe, Richard (Linda) Lions, of Clovis, CA and John (Dee) Thornton, of Lady Lake, FL; sisters, Jewel (Harvey) Lemaster, of Chillicothe and Virginia Charlton, of Jackson, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Wilbur and Alvin Thornton; sisters, Eunice Oyer and Ruth Ringle; an infant brother; and two infant sisters.
Glenola retired as manager from the Dairy Queen on High Street where she had worked for over 30 years. She was a long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Ross County Fair and loved crocheting, camping and cookbooks.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with her son-in-law, Dr. Robert L. Davis and Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
