LONDONDERRY: Monnie Evelyn Hill, formerly of Londonderry, OH, joined her heavenly family at 5:50pm Monday, March 18, 2013, following an extended illness.

She was born August 16, 1931, in Ross County to the late William and Zelda (Wheeler) Skaggs. On April 19, 1948, she married Cail L. Hill, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 9,1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters: Margaret Lemaster, Rebecca Haynes, Sara Cantrell, Catherine Adams; a brother Phillip Skaggs; and a great-granddaughter Jamie Hill.

Monnie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Wilma Hill, Alice (Norman) Bauman, Marline (Rich) Halfhill; a son and daughter-in-law Cail L., Jr. (Carol) Hill; grandchildren, Tom, Shannon, Duke, Rachel, Jason, Stephanie, Bill, Brandy, Colt and Autumn; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law: James (Rena) Skaggs; Dale (Bonnie) Skaggs; good neighbors and a lot of friends.

Monnie worked as a cook at the former Copper Kettle restaurant inside of the Lazarus Department Store. She was also known for her homemade fudge, which took 2nd Place at the Ohio State Fair, her homemade noodles and her canning. She also was an avid quilter. However, her favorite pastime was being "Mom, Grandma and Granny." She was a member of Poe's Run Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 22, at the Haller Funeral Home with Charles Skaggs and Elder Skip Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8pm Thursday at Haller Funeral Home.
