Earl W. Allison

CHILLICOTHE: Earl W. Allison, 91, of Chillicothe, passed from this life at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, July 17, 2012. He will be missed by many.

He was born April 1, 1921, in Chillicothe, to the late Bundy H. and Mary E. Huron Allison. Earl served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was formerly married to Charlotte Juanita Oliver in 1940. They had two children, Earl Allison, Jr. (deceased) and a daughter, with whom he lived, Lois Bennett and her husband, Delbert, both of Chillicothe; also surviving are grandchildren, Rita (Mitchell) Smith, Delbert (Tami) Bennett, Harold (Cindy) Allison, Jack (Debra) Allison, all of Chillicothe and Earl Allison III, of Fairfield, OH; five great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; twin sisters, Esther and Evelyn Allison, of Chillicothe; nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Charles Allison; his former wife, Charlotte Juanita Oliver Allison; brothers, Floyd and Clarence Allison; and a sister, Edith Griffith.

Earl was a devoted Christian and regularly attended Hilltop Mission Church where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 with Rev. Delbert Allison officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard of Circleville. Friend may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
