Jack L. Shepler

CIRCLEVILLE: Jack L. Shepler, 64, of Circleville, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 28, 2011. He was born on November 20, 1947 the son of the late Walter and Elsie Marie Williams Shepler. On July 13, 1967 he married the former Carol Sever and she survives.

Also surviving are his daughter; Shelly (Jay) Eden of Columbus, grandchildren Sean, Travis, and Key Eden, sister; Sandy Burns of South Bloomfield, brother; Dave (Julia) Shepler of Greenfield, sisters-in-law; Linda (John) Evans, Janet Sexton, Melody (Roger) Reed all of Washington Court House, Carolyn Sever of Greenfield, brothers-in-law; Rich (Karen) Sever of Columbus, Sam (Barb) Sever of Washington Court House, Russ (Aileen) Sever of Chillicothe, Rodney (Bev) Sever, Raymond (Brenda) Sever, Randy (Kim) Sever, all of Washington Court House, Robin (Kay) Sever of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter; Kelly Carpenter, sisters; Bonnie McCray, Lois (Ernie) Leeth, brothers-in-law; Roger Sever, Wally Burns, and Nick Sexton.

Jack was a 1966 graduate of Adena High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved to attend turkey shoots all over the region.

In keeping with Jack's wishes, cremation will take place. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort with Don Alexander officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, beside his daughter, Kelly. Military honors will be accorded by the Frankfort American Legion. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Jack was wonderful and I am so sad to hear of his passing. I will keep you, Carol and Shelly, in my prayers. You were like my second family and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of and miss Kelly, and will feel the same now for Jack.
