Norman E. Schrader

CHILLICOTHE: Norman E. Schrader, 88, of Chillicothe, died 4:50 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 in Westmoreland Place following a short illness.

He was born December 2, 1923 in Chillicothe, to the late Frank and Pearl J. Brockmeyer Schrader. On December 21, 1956, he married the former Emma M. Fraley who died April 19, 1997.

Norman is survived by many nieces and nephews and special family friend, Betty Moser.

He was predeceased by sisters, Alice Pritchard, Marcella Enderlin and Mildred Pairan and two brothers, Charles and Frank Schrader.

Cpl. Norman served in the U.S. Army's 4th Special Brigade Amphibian Engineers (Pacific) during World War II. He retired from Union Coal following 46 years of service. Norman was an avid dog and animal lover.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ross County Humane Society 2308A Lick Run Road Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
