CHILLICOTHE: Virginia Rose Stout, 90, of Chillicothe, died 2:40 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born July 12, 1922, in Chillicothe, to the late Alexander and Ethel Echard Thompson. On October 30, 1941, she married Harold Stout who survives.

Also surviving are children, Gary (Janet) Stout, of Canton, GA, Tom (Rita) Stout, of Louisville, KY, Nancy Harris and Joyce Graves, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Michelle Peacock, Mark (Denise) Stout, T. Andrew Stout, Angela (Jimmy) White, Christopher Harris, Theresa Graves, Richard Graves and Tracey (Gregg) Robinson; great grandchildren, Mason, Kaitlyn, Madison, Garrett, Halle, Casey, Lyric, Gabriel, Nathan, Jordan, Jacob, Matthew, Wesley, Jordon, Josh, Morgan and Scott; a great-great-granddaughter, Amauri; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Colletta Thompson, of Columbus. She was predeceased by a grandson, Scott Beeler and her brother, Charles Thompson.

Virginia was a member of St. Mary's Church and was a former employee of the former Tudor's and Union Department Stores. She volunteered at the Ross County Board of Elections. Virginia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, fabulous cook and bridge player. She and Harold loved to travel and spend time with their family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013 in St. Mary's Church with Fr. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the WARE FUNERAL HOME where there will be a Wake Service at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to St. Mary's Church for their renovation project 61 S. Paint Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
