CHILLICOTHE: Osie E. Deal, 90, of Chillicothe, died 3:20 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at her residence.
She was born June 17, 1923, in Ross County, to the late Gilbert B. and Anna Marie Maddy Malone. On June 17, 1941, she married Donald L. Deal, Sr. who died January 29, 1992.
Surviving are children, Donald (Betty) Deal, Jr., of Chillicothe, Esther A. (Jim) Denny, of Arbuckle, CA, Larry (Evelyn) Deal and Terry (Kenyia) Deal, both of Chillicothe; a special son, Roy Reed, of Georgia; grandchildren, Pam (Tod) Gallaugher, Greg (Nancy) Deal, both of Chillicothe, Cheryl (Gary) Fechner, of Copperopolis, CA, Pennie (Aaron) Broyles, of Vacaville, CA, Cathy (Ryan) Adams, Mandy Deal, both of Chillicothe, Courtney Deal, of Akron, Shallyn (Mark) Morway, of Jackson and Kenny (fiancee Courtney) Branscom, of Chillicothe; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Luther (Abby) Malone, of Chillicothe; sisters, Ruth Keyser, of Pickerington, Helen England, of Chillicothe and Mary Johnson, of Frankfort; and many friends, including special friends, Mary and the late Fred Whitten, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Mary and David H. and Margaret; a sister, Martha; and brother-in-law, Thurland Keyser.
Osie was a member of Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church. She was the co-owner and operator of the Massieville General Store.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the Mt. Tabor Community Christian Church with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday
