Virginia Jewel Little

WAVERLY: Virginia Jewel Little, 81, of Waverly, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday 4 July 2014 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born 8 March 1933 in Pikeville, Kentucky the daughter of the late King David Ray and Addie (Flannery) Ray. On 15 June 1977 she was united in marriage to George Robert Little who preceded her in death on 16 June 2013.

Surviving are four children, Bernadine Hall of Waverly, Jerry Hall, Gary Hall and wife Vicki and Brenda Hall all of Chillicothe, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; brother and Pastor Lloyd Ray and wife Nadine of Xenia Ohio; and two sisters, Lois Reynolds and Dorothy Skeens and husband Don both of Pikeville.

Virginia's parents; husband; two brothers, Boyd and Carl Dean Ray; and a sister, Hazel Entler preceded her in death.

She was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church, Chillicothe.

Our mother and stepfather had a great life together with many travels all over the United States and beyond, met many new people and acquired lots of friends.

They loved each other much with him being the jokester and she the serious one. She loved God, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and dedicated her life to that.

She was a genuine, loving, caring, modest, prim and proper lady. She never met a stranger and all those that know her know what a huge loss this will be. She will be missed greatly with many tears to come, but with that one voice telling us to not be sad and to live our lives with a love for God and much happiness.

Mom your earthy job is complete. We can hear the angles singing. We are so blessed. Until we meet again, we all love you.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday 11 July 2014 at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME with Bishop E.L. Heskett, officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Boyer funeral Home 5-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Special thanks to Heartland Hospice and a longtime friend, Juanita Soummers.
