Lemone Bryant

CHILLICOTHE: Lemone Bryant, 87, of Chillicothe, died 7:29 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born September 29, 1925, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, to the late Levi and Dora Kinnison. On July 31, 1949, she married Alfred "Buzz" Bryant who died July 15, 1970.

Lemone was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Kathryn Lang and Vera Baker and a niece, Diann Schwamberger. She is survived by nephews, Albert "Buddy" Lang, Hal Watts and James Lang; special friends, Regina Breiel, Gene Rittinger, Gary and Karen Hoffman, Carol Ann Ottman and Harold and Ann Newton; the "Domino Girls"; and countless other friends.

She retired as branch manager of BancOhio National Bank after a long career in banking. Lemone was a former member of the Lady Elks, Chillicothe Lioness and the Jaycee Golf League where she had a hole in one in 2002. She is a member of the Chillicothe Elks #52 where she was recognized as Elk of the year in 2006 and the Red Hat Chillicothe Girls and the Chillicothe Paints Booster Club. Lemone was a loyal supporter of the Chillicothe Paints and the Cincinnati Reds.

Lemone was a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer for many years. She loved animals and provided a loving home for many dogs over the years and is survived by her loving dog "Buzz".

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
