Kenneth White Obituary
CHILLICOTHE: Kenneth Knox White, 89, of Chillicothe, died 1:46 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Traditions of Chillicothe.
He was born January 16, 1927 in Adams Run, SC to the late William and Beatrice Eliqa Parson White.
On April 21, 1970 he married the former Maria-Chrisi Theodorakakis who preceded him in death October 21, 2010.
Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Maria Christina White (Martin Burke MD); grandsons, Theodor and Leonidas Burke; children from a previous marriage, Roxanne (Thomas) Spring, Boulder Creek, CA, Phillip Knox White, Erica White and Victoria Sturm, all of Akron; grandchildren, Stephanie Affoutit, Michele Collins, Nathaniel White, Josuha, Rebekah and Rachel DelMedico; great grandchildren, Jack and Madison Affoutit, Patrick and Caitlin Collins, Navayan and Danivir White and Leyla DelMedico. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela DelMedico; a brother, William Theophilus White; 5 sisters, Katherine Marschall, Ada White, Grace Pfeifer, Juanita Bigaouttee, and Beatrice Anderson.
Kenneth graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and then graduated from Yale University in 1952 with a major in Industrial Administration in the School of Engineering. He was a retired engineer with Goodyear and a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Kenneth was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Columbus.
Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Father Demetrios Gardikes celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery followed by a reception in the Chillicothe Room at the Glade 142 University Drive, Chillicothe. There will be no calling hours. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
