Armstrong, Paul E. - Chipley  
Paul E. Armstrong, 75 of Chipley, passed from this life on March 23, 2015 at Bay Medical Center. Paul was born on July 6,1939 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. He moved to Chipley in 2002 coming from Michigan. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Armstrong of Chipley, Florida; his children:, Bill Armstrong, Sarah and Robert Jones of Michigan, Opal Hellweg, Marcia Creamer and Tim Mceachran all of California; stepchildren, Howard Baxter of Florida and Deborah Miller of Michigan; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorialization was by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of arrangements.

Vermell "Peggy" Bodie, 57 of Esto, Florida passed away, March 3, 2015 at Bay Medical Center. Peggy was born in Barbour County, Alabama on April 9, 1957 to the late Grady Oscar and Bertha May Sullivant Jones. Preceded in death by her husband Henry "Larry" Bodie, two brothers Ed Jones, Edward Jones. Survived by children Clyde Austin Jones, Ariton, Alabama, Bobby Jamison Jones, Esto, Florida, James Earl Jones, Abbeville, Alabama, Priscilla "Pooh" Jones, Clio, Alabama, Cecillia Ann Jones, Louisville, Alabama, Cliff Jones, Johnny Jones, Skipperville, Alabama; Branden Bodie, Esto, Florida, Tangy Brenner, Samantha Bodie, Arab, Alabama, Harvey Mixon Esto, Florida, Terry Mixon, New Hope, Florida, Clifford Vernell Jones, Johnny Wesley Jones, Clio, Alabama; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Grady Jones, Jr., Harry Jones, Larry Jones, Terry Jones, Oscar Jones, Polly Jones, Linda Jones, Barbara Jones, Cathy Jones, Susan Jones, host of nieces and nephews. Memorialization was by cremation.

Burt, Billy Bishop - Caryville  
Mr. Billy Bishop Burt, age 81, of Caryville, Florida passed away March 15, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. He was born November 11, 1933 in Waco, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray H. Burt, his mother, Ruby Marshall Burt Perkins, a brother, R.C. Burt and a sister, Helen Burt Patterson. Mr. Burt is survived by one son, Jason Burt and wife Deanna of Troy, TX; a sister, Dorothy Tatum and husband Wade of Gatesville, TX; four grandchildren, Tyler, Jayten, Jaysen, Dawsen; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Hickory Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Crosby, the Rev. Ike Steverson and the Rev. Tommy White officiating. Interment followed in the Hickory Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Chuck Taylor, Cory Taylor, Buck Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, Gary Taylor and serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gary Tinsley, Eddie Tinsley, Bert Long, Jerry Blair, Herman Adams, and George Taylor. Carter, Norma Jean - Chipley  
Norma Jean Carter, 78 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2015 at Bay Medical Center. Norma Jean was born on May 13, 1936 in Jackson County, Florida to Lewis M. Spooner and Myrtle L. Morris. She was a lifelong resident of the panhandle and attended of Gap Pond Church. She retired from Roulhac Middle School where she worked in the food service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Doyle Gainey and John Elmer Carter; son, Robert Allen Gainey; two brothers, Hillary H. "Buddy" Spooner and Theron Spooner; sister, Verma DeBaufer; two grandsons, Jason Carter and Andy L. Davis. She is survived by her son, Michael Gainey and wife Marlyn of Diberville, Mississippi; daughter, Belinda Gail Davis and husband David of Wausau; sister, Mary Ruth Morris and husband Willie of Wausau; grandchildren, Leah Nash and husband Jacob, Tori Wilson and husband David and Nicholas Davis and wife Jackie; eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 11a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Wausau Assembly of God with the Rev. Roger Dale Hagan officiating. Interment followed in the Vernon City Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing. Curry, Sheffield McCants "Mac" - Westville  
Mr. Sheffield McCants "Mac" Curry of Westville, Florida. passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was 71. Mr. Curry was born in Holmes County, Florida. on January 1, 1944 to the late James Ezra and Alice Lee Adams Curry. Prior to his retirement he worked as a security guard for Benson Wholesale and later for Fleming Foods. He loved to be outdoors, fishing and telling stories on his front porch. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Curry, Roberta Capps and Rosa Etta Stewart; and a granddaughter, Mary Caitlyn Curry. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Linda Curry; two sons, Jason Curry (Melanie) of Bonifay, Florida and David Curry (Brooke) of Geneva, Alabama; three grandsons, Nathan, Logan and Tristan Curry, all of Bonifay, Florida; brother, Elton W. Curry (Sophie) of Chimayo, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Mt. Ida Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Mashburn and the Rev. Mitchell Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Ida Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2026 Sherwood Lane, Westville, FL 32464.

Farris, Linda (Warren) - Campbellton  
Linda Warren Farris, 62 of Campbellton, FL passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. Linda was born in Hahira, Georgia on June 19, 1952. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family at New Covenant Church in Newton, Alabama. Predeceased by her father, Troy W. Warren, Jr. and one brother Billy Warren. Survived by her loving husband, Donald Farris, Campbellton; mother, Inez Warren, Sparks, GA; two sons, Richie Sumner(Melissa) and Bryan Sumner(Rachel), Graceville; daughter, Melissa Lewis(Bryan), Sweetwater, AL; two brothers, Ronnie Warren(Janet), Hahira, GA and Wayne Warren(Jennifer), Graceville; sister, Cathy Shaw(Tommy), Sparks, GA; nine grandchildren, Gavin, Haley, Troy, Morgan Sumner, Leticia Lima, Grace, Lydia, Sammy, Augusta Lewis; mother-in-law, Ouida Farris, Campbellton, Larry Farris(Janice), Sneads, Johnny Farris(Vicki), Campbellton and Lucretia Farris, Graceville; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at New Covenant Church with Bro. Robert Smith officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Fox, Ray William - Ponce de Leon  
Mr. Ray William Fox, age 84, of Ponce de Leon, Florida passed away March 10, 2015 at the Healthmark Regional Medical Center in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was born June 9, 1930 in Hudson, North Carolina to the late Dewey William Fox and Mary Jane Hall Fox. A 25-year military career in the US Army included his rise from Private to Major while on active service and then later promotion to Full Colonel in the Army Reserves. His service started in the Field Artillery and then moved to Air Defense, where he commanded a Nike Hercules missile site during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also served with honor in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Upon his retirement from the Army, he farmed in Missouri before moving to Ponce de Leon in 1981. His life was all about service to others. He was an active deacon in Texas, Missouri and Florida. He volunteered for SBC Disaster Relief for over 20 years. He served on the State Executive Board for Florida Baptists. Some of his favorite trips were on mission trips, working on building sites. He was active in the local Chamber of Commerce and numerous civic organizations. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his five siblings, Flora, Tressie, Ethel, Levi and Thurman. Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laverral Fox of Ponce de Leon, Florida; two sons, Ron Fox and wife Barbara of El Paso, Texas and Jim Fox and wife Deborah of Arden, North Carolina; two grandsons, Jeremy Ray Fox and Christopher Fox and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Katie, Zachary, Isabella. Family received friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, Florida with the Rev. Ken Harrison officiating. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Hudson, North Carolina. Peel Funeral Home in Bonifay, Florida in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northside Baptist Church, 2831 N. Highway 81, Ponce de Leon, FL 32455.

A Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at New Bethany Church with the Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment was in Campground Cemetery, Westville, FL with Sims Funeral Home directing. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Sims Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Cynthia 'Cyndi' Renee Fussell, age 52, of Bonifay, Florida passed away March 26, 2015 at her home. She was born January 15, 1963 in Winter Haven, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Everett Maines, Sr. and Lawanda Wilson Maines; one brother, Gordon Eugene Maines; one sister, Christina 'Skeeter' Maines. Mrs. Fussell is survived by her husband, Dan Fussell; five children, Nikki Maines, Stephanie Parrish, Charles Parrish, Kenneth Adrian Huffman, Summer Taylor; numerous grandchildren; three brothers, Gordon Maines, Jr., Charles Maines, Anthony Bush. Gavin, Billy Joe - Noma  
Billy Joe Gavin, 80, of Noma died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Noma. He was born in Bonifay , Florida where he lived most of his life. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant, with more than 22 years of service. After his retirement, he worked in underground utilities for 18 years with the G H Skipper Company. He was a member of the Noma Baptist Church . He is preceded in death by his parents, Albra A. and Cora Gavin; son-in-law, Robert B. Nelson, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jeanette Gavin of Noma; three daughters, Sheila Rolling (Kenneth) of Noma, Valeria Hansen (Don) of Panama City, Kim "Kimmie" Tate (Rodney) of Graceville; one brother, Bobby Gavin; one sister, Robbie Smith both of Noma; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the James & Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Biss officiating. Interment followed in the Noma Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing. The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at James & Lipford Funeral Home.
