Agee, Cora Lee - Chipley  
Cora Lee Agee, 94 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 in the Signature Health Care of Chipley She was a member of the House of Prayer Worship Center of Chipley and retired from the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Celebration Services was held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 12, 2015 from the sanctuary of St. Joseph A.M.E. Church of Chipley, with pastor the, Rev. Linda Ellis, and Min. Junaita Finney, officiating. Committal Services followed in the church cemetery. Survivors include her cousin, Betty McKinnie of Chipley whom was like a daughter to her; cousin, Robbi Hatcher of Jonesboro, Georgia whom was like a sister that she never had; along with other cousins, friends and neighbors. Ms. Agee was in state at the church from 10 a.m., Mon, until time for services to start at 11 a.m. Public viewing was Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Cooper Funeral Home from Noon to 9 p.m.

Anderson, Monette D. - DeFuniak Springs  
Monette D. Anderson, age 90 of De Funiak Springs, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Monette was born October 28, 1924 in Noma, to the late Walter Miller and Pearlie Mae Shirah. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lonnie Marlow, John Anderson; two sons, Donnie Ray Marlow and L.C. Marlow; two granddaughters, Monette Matthews, andMichelle Giffert and three deceased brothers. Survivors include, two sons, David Marlow and wife Loretta of De Funiak Springs, L.D. Marlow and wife Frances of Ebro; three daughters, Argie Lee Beach and husband Thomas of Milton, Annette Giffert and Shirey Myers and husband Truman; two sisters, Katherine Smith and Mary Neel Conners; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and numerous step sons and step daughters. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Pine Log Community Church with the Rev. Tony McCullough and the Rev. Rossie Bryant officiating with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment followed in the Ebro City Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Anderson, Vickey E. - Bonifay  
Vickey E. Anderson, age 59 of Bonifay, FL passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, FL. Vickey was born July 25, 1955 in Bonifay, FL to the late Floyd Harden and Minnie Bell Curlee. She has been a resident of the local area for most of her life and is Holiness by faith. Vickey is survived by her son, Matthew Anderson of Pelham, AL.; two brothers, Ricky Suggs of New Hope, FL and Milledge Suggs of South Carolina; one sister, Marie Castell of Atlanta, GA and one grandson, Levin Anderson. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Memorialization was by cremation. Family and friends may sign the online register at www.brownfh.net

Andrews Jr., Willie - Chipley  
Mr. Willie Andrews, Jr., 86 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center of Dothan, AL. He was of the Methodist Faith and a member of Grant Tabernacle A.M.E. Church. He served three years in the U.S. Navy, and also did masonry construction. Survivors include his children, Tommie Lee Andrews (Jeanetta) of Chipley, Willie Mae Hines (David), Cora Andrews, both of Brunswick, GA, and Ronnie Andrews of Brooklyn, NY; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; aunt, Rosa Lee Graham and other relatives and friends. Home Going Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 from the sanctuary of Grant Tabernacle A.M.E. Church of Chipley, with pastor, the Rev. Sandra Jones, Elder Stephen Andrews, Supt. David Woods, Jr., the Rev. George Williams, and the Rev. Tony Davis, officiating. Committal Services will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery of Chipley. Mr. Andrews was in state at the church from 10 a.m., Thursday until time for services to start at 11 a.m. with the Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, directing.

Stella Griffin Baker, age 48 of Chipley, FL passed away Tuesday night, February 24, 2015 at her resident. Stella was born June 15, 1966 to J.M. Griffin and Edna Morgan in Tarpon Springs, FL. She has been a resident of the Chipley area since 1974 coming from Tarpon Springs and she is a member of the Tabernacle of Praise Church of God in Chipley, FL. Stella is survived by her mother, Edna Griffin of Chipley, FL; two sons, Thomas Cody Baker and wife Jenna of Chipley, FL and Marvin Dwayne Baker and wife Jeannie of Chipley, FL; three brothers, Jessie Griffin of Headland, AL, Kenny Griffin of Chipley, FL and Jim Burch of Murfreesboro, TENN; three sisters, Shirley Mills of Chipley, FL, Kathrine Comeford of Sneads, FL and Charline Griffin of Chipley, FL and five grandchildren, Annie Clark, Cameron Zion, Hannah J. Baker, Isabella Baker and Melony Baker. Funeral services were at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Victor Fisher officiating, visitation was held one hour prior to service time. Interment followed at Sapp Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Bass, Bascom Junior - Panama City  
Mr. Bascom Junior Bass, 83, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical. Born in Holmes County, he moved here in 1961. He was retired from Bay District Schools Maintenance Department and was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. Mr. Bass was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Bay County Sheriff's Auxiliary and was the founder of the Hiland Park Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife of 58 yrs., Georgia Bass of Panama City; three sons, Ray Bass of Panama City, Tim Bass of Orlando and Al Bass and wife Cathi of Tallahassee; one daughter, Frances Suggs and husband Leonard of Panama City; one brother, Glenn Bass and wife Linda of McDonough, Georgia; one sister, Annie Ruth Cook of Bonifay; six grandchildren, April Poston and husband Adam, Alison Bass, Sara Perez and husband Justin, Morgan Bass, Hayden Bass and Henry Bass and three great-grandchildren, Logan Poston, Luke Poston and Leo Perez. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Hiland Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Jackson officiating. Interment followed in Lynn Haven Cemetery with military honors accorded at graveside. Visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice or to the Hiland Park Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mr. Junior Bass. Baxley, Clayton James - Chipley  
Clayton James Baxley 57 of Chipley passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. Clayton was a native of Chipley born on Nov. 1, 1957 to the late James Clayton and Marguerite Church Baxley. He was retired from the Florida National Guard and The City of Chipley. Clayton enjoyed working on cars and loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mike Baxley. Clayton is survived by his wife, Judie Ann Baxley of Chipley; three sons, Johnny Ray Baxley and wife Jessica of Chipley, Richard Allen Baxley and wife Patty of Chipley, and Daniel Clayton Baxley and wife Iris of Chipley; three sisters, Vicki Baxley of Chipley, Lynelle Hatton and husband Ray of Chipley and Cathy Sasser of Chipley; sister-in-law, Linda Baxley of Chipley; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Clayton were held on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley. Boswell, Iris Fern - Bonifay  
Mrs. Iris Fern Boswell, 87 of Bonifay, Florida died on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. Born Friday, April 15, 1927 in Lapeer, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Earl Ivory and the late Iris Smith Ivory, and the wife of the late Al Boswell. She was a member of Gully Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Bobby Boswell of Bonifay, Perry Boswell of Bonifay and James Earl Boswell of Bonifay; daughter, Donna Wilson of Bonifay; brother, Zane Ivory of Lapeer, MI; nine grandchildren and six greatgrand children. A Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2014 at Bonifay Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Hadley, the Rev. Jeep Sullivan and the Rev. Tim Hall officiating with Sims Funeral Home directing. Interment was in Bonifay Cemetery, Bonifay.

Bowers, Michael Wilburn - Ponce de Leon  
Michael Wilburn Bowers passed away on Feb. 13, 2015. He was born July 15, 1982 in Panama City and resided at 3320 State Highway 81 in Ponce de Leon. He is the son of Robert (Rob) Wayne Bowers of Ponce de Leon and Anna Maria Chamberlain of Red Bay. Michael enjoyed collecting arrowheads and being outdoors. Michael ran big machinery and worked in the logging business. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Leo Bowers; grandmother, Evelaine Bowers and grandpa, Ronald Infinger. Michael is survived by his father, Rob Bowers and wife Sara; mother, Anna Chamberlain and husband Allen; son, Robbie Bowers; brothers, Walter Bowers and Justin Chamberlain; sister, Kala Wilson and grandmother, Patricia Infinger. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, beginning at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mike McVay officiating. A time of visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Committal services followed at New Ponce de Leon Cemetery. Flowers are being accepted. Brown, James Wesley - Dothan  
James Wesley Brown, 69, of Dothan, Alabama, entered his Heavenly home Monday, Feb. 9, 2015. James was born in Campbellton, , on Dec. 7, 1945, to the late Elbert and Mary Nell Redmon Brown. A 1964 graduate of Campbellton High School, James served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as warehouse manager from Ansell, Inc. (Akwell Ind.), following 43 years of service. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Dothan. James was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roy Brown, and sister, Brenda Kirkland. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Garner Brown; two daughters, Julie Brown Gonzalez (Juan), Taylor, Alabama and Kylie Brown, Malvern, Alabama; sister, Carolyn McElwain, Slocomb Alabama; four grandchildren, Joy Kelley (Ethan), Jasmine Gonzalez, Brandon Jenkins, and Tyler Enfinger and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Expressions of sympathy can be made at www.jamesandlipford.com His Celebration of Life was at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Stacy Stafford, the Rev. Rick Glenn, and the Rev. Billy Rich officiating. A graveside service followed at 3 p.m. in the Damascus Baptist Church cemetery in Graceville, with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing. The family will receive friends at Southside Baptist Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
