Sidney C. Bush, retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Yeoman (Sub-Surface qualified), 79 years old of Graceville, passed away Tuesday night, May 24, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama following an extended illness. Sid was born and raised in the Poplar Springs Community of Holmes County. A 1955 graduate of Poplar Springs High School, Mr. Bush retired as a Master Chief Yeoman with the U.S. Navy following 21 years of service. He also retired of the U.S. Post Office following 20 additional years. He was a devoted member of the Wausau Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Leo Register-Bush and first wife Mary Carter-Bush. Survived are his beloved wife Lillian Luverne Bush of Vernon.; sister Susan Dobrowolski (Pete) of Aliquippa, PA.; daughters Julia Leroy (Michael) of Gulf Breeze.; Michelle McAllister (Charles) of Warner Robins, Georgia.; four grandchildren; Benjamin Ganus, Brittany McAllister Wennan, Megan McAllister, Emily McAllister Travis; two great grandchildren Thomas and Owen Travis followed by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sister-in-laws, cousins, friends and extended family members. Viewing was held at the James & Lipford Funeral Home, 5390 Cotton St. Graceville, FL. 32440, on Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Prior to the Homegoing service, a second viewing will be at the Wausau Assembly of God Church, 3537 Washington St, Wausau, FL 32463, Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Homegoing service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Wausau Assembly of God Church with Rev. Danny Burns officiating. Burial followed in the Brown-Bush-Tindel Cemetery with full Military Honors by the U.S. Navy and funeral directed by the James & Lipford Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Brown-Bush-Tindel Cemetery Fund c/o Donna Tate 1088 Hwy. 173 Graceville, FL 32440. or Wausau Assembly of God Church of Wausau P.o. Patricia Harvey Brock, age 68, of Westville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 10, 1948 in Panama City, to the late Edward French and Evelyn Hall Harvey. "Pat" as she was known by family and friends, had just retired in 2015 from Ponce de Leon Elementary School where she was an office and teacher's aide for 28 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ponce de Leon and served as their pianist. Pat had a natural talent for decorating and floral arranging, so she was often ask to help with events for friends as well as school and church functions. With her unique sense of humor, Pat would have her friends laughing soon after she entered the room. She is survived by her husband, Charles Brock; and two brothers, Ron Harvey and wife Jackie of Ponce de Leon and Ricky Harvey of Panama City. Funeral services wereheld Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Greg Alford officiating. A time of visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Committal services followed at First Baptist Church of Ponce de Leon Cemetery.
