Carver, Karen Ellene (Alexander) - Bonifay  
Karen Ellene Carver, age 69, of Bonifay, passed away Aug. 15, 2015 at her home. She was born Feb. 25, 1946 in Bristol, Pennsylvania to the late John Stanton Alexander and Marion Elizabeth Wright Alexander. Mrs. Carver is survived by two sons, Scotty Carver and wife Wendy of Canton, Georgia and Jason Carver of Bonifay; one daughter, Kimberly Carver of Chipley; a half-sister, Janet Ariza and husband Russell of Virginia Beach, Virgina; 13 grandchildren. Memorialization was by cremation with Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Champion, Quillie - Graceville  
Quillie Champion, 95 of Graceville passed away, Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 at Signature Healthcare at the Millpond. Quillie was born in Greenhead, July 12, 1920 to the late Tillman and Annie Lee Blalock Golden. A beloved mother and grandmother, Quillie was an active member of Damascus Baptist Church for many years. Preceded by husband Henry D. Champion and one son Joe Champion. Survived by her beloved children Buford Champion(Joyce), Panama City, Hazel Pabody (Steve), Graceville, Marvin Champion(Marguerite) Panama City; one sister Georgia MacDonald, Winter Haven; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. Funeral service were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at Damascus Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Taylor and Chester Padgett officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Craven, Barbara Lee "Bobby" (Tobias) - Chipley  
Barbara (Bobby) Lee Tobias Craven, 88, passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015. Born in Chipley, on June 14, 1927, to Frank and Nancy Louise Sheppard Tobias, Bobby was a lifelong resident of Chipley. She retired from Southern Bell after 27 years of service in 1981. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and caring for her family. She is pre-deceased by her husband, William (Billy) M. Craven, her parents, sister Carolyn Tobias Williams and brother-in-law Jeep Williams, brother-in-law Dr. James Craven and sister-in-law Virginia Craven, sister-in-law Elouise Craven Shehee and brother-in-law Dr. Ed Shehee. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands Leola and Billy Brock, and Kathy and Larry Rudd; sister Julia (Bootsie) Sirmans; brother Frank (Sonny) Tobias and his wife Jacquelyn Tobias; three grandchildren and their spouses Billy James and Karla Brock, Lele and Andrew Sobey, and Lori and Roland Leis; four great-grandchildren Jon Brock and wife Hillary Brock, Hunter Fletcher and fiancé Robin Quintero, Gracie Brock, and Tom Brock; and two great-great-grandchildren Bryce Brock and Harper Brock. She is also survived by six nephews and their wives Dr. Ben and Cynthia Craven, Cecil and Lettie Sirmans, Michael Sirmans, Dr. Eddie and Angie Shehee, Dr. Ronnie and Chris Shehee, and Toby and Lauren Tobias; and two nieces Jeni Dennis and Susan Brown and her husband Peter Brown. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to special caregivers Dot Talton, Corene Joyner, and Tina Birge. Graveside service were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating, with Brown Funeral Home directing. Samantha Lynn Dee, age 30, of Bonifay, passed away Aug. 17, 2015 at her home. She was born May 17, 1985 in Miami. Samantha is survived by her two sons, Alden Dee of Bonifay and Landen Russell of Bonifay; her mother Linda Hott-Blanton of Bonifay; her father, James V. Dee of Panama City; one sister, Jamie Arledge and husband Rocky of Gainesville; nieces and nephews, Tadum, Riley, Logan, Farrah, Cameron, Brantley, Nate. A celebration of life was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at Winterville Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Mitch Johnson officiating. Peel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Dittus, Sandra Kay (Milks) - Bonifay  
Sandra Kay Dittus, 71 of Bonifay, died Saturday, June 13, 2015, at her home in Bonifay. Born Thursday, Sept. 23, 1943 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Milks and the late Catherine Carpenter Milks. Surviving are sons, Fritz Dittus of Dothan, Alabama and Karl Dittus of Raleigh, North Carolina, daughters, Rhonda McMahan of Orlando, and Stacie Loucks of Bonifay, brother, Dale Milks of St. Petersburg, Pennsylvania , sister, Valerie Charlton of Bradford, Pennsylvania; six grand children; three great grand children. A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church.

Edenfield, Lillian R. - Grand Ridge  
Lillian R. Edenfield, 87, of Grand Ridge died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 at Jackson Hospital. A native of Donalsonville, Georgia. Edenfield had resided in Jackson County most of her life. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Florida State Hospital as a Human Service Specialist. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Edenfield was preceded in death by her husband, Eulles Edenfield; her parents, William and Effie Lord Roberts. Survivors include her son, Mickey Edenfield and wife, Geneice of Grand Ridge; four grandchildren, Scott Edenfield and wife Stacey of Sumter, South Carolina, Stephanie Bachelier and husband Johnny of Grand Ridge, Dwanna Davis and husband Tommy of Bascom and Kristie Rabon and husband Kenny of Grand Ridge; ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with the Revs. Roy Ray and Alvin Roberts officiating. Interment followed at Shady Grove Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until funeral time, Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Fulford, Erie Janople "Jan" - Alachua  
Erie Janople "Jan" Fulford, 88, of Alachua, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015. Born in Bethlehem, she lived most of her life in Florida, and retired with her husband to Alachua 15 years ago. Fulford was the perfect model of a pastor's wife, devoting her life to supporting him and his ministry. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of High Springs. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, the Rev. Joseph Edward Fulford, Sr., her son the Rev. Joseph Edward Fulford, Jr., Dunnellon, her two daughters Bennye Alligood, High Springs and Peggy Shields, Live Oak, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral services for Fulford were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Bonifay, with Pastor Eddie Fulford officiating. Interment followed in the Bonifay Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, 150 N. Main Street, High Springs, FL 32643.

Galloway, Lois Vernell (Johnson) - Westville  
Lois Vernell Johnson Galloway, 87, of Westville, went home to be with our Lord Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, due to the complications of Alzheimer's disease at Signature HealthCARE in Graceville, surrounded by her family. Vernell was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Westville. She was married to Reo Lavelle Galloway for 39 years until his death in November of 1985. Vernell was the mother of six children. Vernell retired from The Phillips Van Heusen Company after working there for more than 30 years. She was a life-long member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church in Westville. Vernell loved to cook, sew, garden and spend time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lafayette and Lillie Belle Johnson, five brothers; five sisters; son, William Donald Galloway and her daughter and son-in-law, Nannette Galloway Beck and Warren Harris Beck. She is survived by four daughters, one daughter-in-law and four sons-in-law, Hilda and Jimmy Spears of Bartow, Peggy and Greg Ross of Geneva, Alabama, Sandra and Thomas Earnhart of Manchester, Tennessee, Miranda and Michael Horrell of Overland Park, Kansas, and Sharon Anderson Galloway (daughter-in-law) of Valdosta, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Spears Kunz (Andy), Longwood, Candace Beck Smyth (Frank), Washington D.C., Jimmy Spears, Jr. (Deborah), Lithia, Stephen Galloway (Amanda), Marietta, GA, Misty Ross Bixby (Rich), Geneva, Alabama, Natalie Beck Justice (Ron), Geneva, Alabama, Lauren McCraney Mueller, Ft. Myers, Kacie Ross Johnson (Dennis), Hartford, Lindsey McCraney Cole (David), Cape Coral, Ben Galloway, Macon, Georgia, Jena McCraney McEwen (Scott), Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Emily Horrell, Overland Park, Kansas, and Allison Horrell, Overland Park, Kansas; Vernell was also blessed with 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Beagles; numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held at Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Dr. Jerry Galloway officiating. The address is 2744 W. Magnolia Ave. Geneva, AL. The visitation was at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, with funeral services immediately following at 11 a.m. Graveside services followed at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Westville, with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. Grant, Sarah Ann (Howell) - Bascom  
Sarah Ann Grant, of Bascom, died at her home Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 surrounded by her family and staff of Covenant Hospice. Mrs. Grant touched the lives of thousands of Jackson County school children during her career as a school teacher and her tenure with the Jackson County School Board. Mrs. Grant was born in Alabama and raised by the Rev. and Mrs. Glenn Howell. She graduated from Greenwood High School, and obtained her teaching degree form Troy State University. She earned her Master's Degree in Education while raising four children and working fulltime. Mrs. Grant taught for 27 years in Jackson County with 15 years being in gifted education at Hope School. After her retirement she was elected to the Jackson County School Board. Mrs. Grant was a vital member of her community. She volunteered as the pianist at Bascom and Greenwood Methodist Church, and chaired many committees around the area. She was a member and served as president of the Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Mrs. Grant was the epitome of a strong and gentle southern woman who was keenly intelligent. She will be remembered for her stately poise, grace and dignity. Her greatest love was children, and it was her wish for all the children of Jackson County to have the opportunity of a good education. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace H. Grant and her son, John Wallace Grant. She is survived by three children, Gwen Grant Williams,(Mark) Mike Grant (Louise) Mary Leigh Dudley (William), and five grandchildren, Aly Williams, John Robert Grant, Amber Grant, Ben and Grant Dudley, and Margaret Grant. She leaves behind her beloved friend, Brantley Ditty. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at the Bascom United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel. Bettie Griffin, 83, of Marianna died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015 at Jackson Hospital. Bettie was born in Thomaston, Georgia in July of 1932. She had resided in Jackson County for the past 27 years after living in Kokoma, Indiana where her husband retired from the Chrysler Automotive Company. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Garner and her father, Bennie L. Garner, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Edward D. Griffin; two daughters, Dyan Thomason and Cynthia Day; three grandchildren, Lee Till, Stephany Walker and Danielle Day; seven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Lynne Garner; three nephews and one niece. Memorial services were at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church in Cottondale with the Rev. Chris Franklin officiating. Memorialization was by cremation with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until service time, Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Cottondale.
