Mr. Carl Lamar Guthrie, age 83, of Bonifay, passed away Feb. 26, 2013 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay. He was born Nov. 17, 1929 in Phoenix, Ariz., to the late Carlton Holman and Tannie Mae Hamblin Guthrie. Mr. Guthrie served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Bonnie Guthrie of Bonifay; two daughters, Lynne Andrus and husband Roger of Provo, Utah, and Carol Goldsberry and husband, Brad of Loveland, Colo.; five sons, Col. Brian Guthrie and wife Linda of Warner Robins, Ga., David Guthrie and wife Vicky of Bonifay, Tom Guthrie and wife Joy of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Ben Guthrie and wife Lynn of Bristol, and Chris Guthrie and wife Annette of Westville; 37 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don Guthrie and wife Sharon of Spring Creek, Nev., and Phil Guthrie and wife Marianne of Colorado Springs, Co., and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with interment following in the East Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family received friends one hour prior to service from 10 to 11 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
