Charles Reece Kelley(1946 - 2014)

Charles Reece Kelley, 67 of the Poplar Springs Community, Graceville, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. Charles, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, was born in Hartford, Ala., on Oct. 28, 1946 to the late Reece T. "Dempsey" and Ruby White Kelley. A graduate of Poplar Springs High School, Class of 1965, he served as a Sargeant with the U.S. Army, Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Charles retired from Sony Corporation, becoming a Correctional Officer for a number of years. He was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church in Bonifay.
He is predeceased by a great granddaughter, Jacelyn.
Survived by his beloved wife, Janice Kelley; daughters, Tammy Kelley (Todd), Sonja Harrell (Scott) and Angel Long (Jody); brother, Richard Kelley (Sylvia); sister, Hellen Harden (David); aunt, Jean Cameron; seven grandchildren, Tamara, Roman, Paige, Selina, Logan, Kobi and Tyler; four great grandchildren, Chandler, Deven, Breonna and Andrianne; two nieces, Brandy and Mechelle an several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of life was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at Northside Assembly of God in Bonifay with the Rev. Ed Bell, the Rev, Chuck Glass and the Rev. John Broome officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Family received friends at the church from 5 p.m. until time of service.
