Mr. Luther 'Jim' Grafton Harcus, age 64, of Marianna, passed away Feb. 21, 2013 at his home. He was born May 3, 1948 in Bonifay, to the late Morgan and Cleo Scott Harcus.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harcus was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Harcus; a brother, Dicky Harcus, and two sisters, Bo Harcus and Dale Bryan.
Mr. Harcus is survived by his wife, Christine Johnson Harcus of Marianna; two sons, Donald Harcus and Ronald Harcus both of Caryville; one daughter, Tracy Curlee and husband Tim of Bonifay; two step-sons, Wayne Johnson and wife Becky of Bonifay, and Mike Johnson of Tallahassee; one step-daughter, Shannon Simmons and husband Gary of Panama City; four sisters, Selma Bryan and husband David of Tampa, Murl Slater of Ocala, Linda Cook and husband Wallace of Gulf Port, Miss., Tina Brown and husband Terre of Ponce de Leon; five grandchildren, Eric, Tristan, Morgan, Blake, and Ridge; four step-grandchildren, Faith, Ashlee, Hope, and Tanisha, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Peel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff DuBouse and the Rev. Jack Faircloth officiating. Interment followed in the Caryville City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing. Family received friends one hour prior to service from 1 to 2 p.m., at Peel Funeral Home.
