Nita Dozier Williams, 95 of Graceville, passed away, April 21, 2014 at Signature Healthcare of North Florida. Ms. Nita was born in Holmes County on March 10, 1919, to the late James Tom and Jince Leavins Dozier. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Ms. Nita was a member of the First Baptist Church in Graceville. She was a former member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Graceville Garden Club, Graceville Women's Club and the Graceville Historical Society.
Proceeded in death by her husband, Jeff Walton Williams, Sr.; son, Jeff W. Williams, Jr.; son, Billy Sidney Williams; sister, Virginia Williams; brother, Dick Dozier and one great granddaughter, Lindy Waddell.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joseph Garcia, Donalsonville, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Williams, Houston, Texas; brother, Loyle and Betty Dozier, Lake Placid; two sisters, Alvera "Peanut" Jones, Cape Canaveral and Vileta Skipper, Pensacola; grandchildren, Jody and JoAnn Williams, Jeff W. and Shelley Williams, III, Shelley and Brian Jordan, Dr. Andi and Dr. Dan Alexander, Sunni and Dr. Nathan Dallas, and Leigh and Dave Fain, Donalsonville, Ga.; great grandchildren, Logan, Lyndon, Lincoln, Jett, Dash, Hannah, Hayes, Ellie, Andrew, Kate, Jax, Isaac, Gavin, Brunson, Rose and Emmitt and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Graceville with the Rev. Tim Folds officiating. Burial followed in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family received friends at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service.
