Alice Ray Laster of Chipley, 82, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Alice was born Sept. 1, 1930 in Chipley, to the late Hazard Reed Ross and Ruby Ruth (King) Ross. She was a lunchroom worker at Roulhac Middle School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Alice was of the Baptist faith and a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church of Chipley.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Erwin Laster Sr.
Survivors include two sons, William Erwin Laster Jr. and wife Carol of Chipley, and Kenneth (Wormy) Laster of Chipley; two daughters, Sara Bush and husband Edgar of Chipley, and Janice Bellefleur and husband Billy of Chipley; three sisters, Mary Bell of Lynn Haven, Syble Morris of Chipley, and Annie Mae Pope of Lake City; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 at Blue Lake Baptist Church of Chipley with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Family received friends one hour prior to service time. Interment followed at Piney Grove Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Friends and family may sign the online register at www.brownfh.net.
