Mr. George H. Anderson, 82, of Chipley, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he moved to the area in 1991 from Dover, Delaware. He retired from the U.S.A.F. where he served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Mr. Anderson was a member of the American Legion, AFSA, Foster Parent Association, Air Commando Association, AARP and the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Rachel Anderson; three sons, George H. Anderson, Jr. and wife Lisa, Brian Moreau and wife Debbie, Marc Moreau and wife Sherri; four daughters, Michelle Whidden and husband Greg, Charlyn O'Brien and husband Steve, Robyn Harrington and husband Joe, Colette Eckman and husband Doug; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Lynn Haven Cemetery, Lynn Haven, Florida. Military honors were accorded at graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101 in memory of Mr. Anderson.
