Henry "Larry" Bodie, 63 of Esto, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Larry was born in Hartford, Ala., on Nov. 12, 1950 to the late John Richard and Hazel Edna Adams Bodie. A Veteran of the U. S. Army, Mr. Larry was a truck driver for many years.
He is preceded in death by son, Jason Bodie and grandson, Hunter Malin.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; children, Tangy Brenner (Edwin), Brandon Bodie (Shilo), Samantha Bodie, all of Arab, Ala., Cecelia Ann Thomas, Louisville, Ala., Clyde Austin Jones, Clio, Ala., Bobby Jameson Jones, Esto, James Earl Jones, Percillia "Pooh" Jones, Clio, Ala., Clifford Jones and Johnny Jones, Ozark, Ala.; sisters and brothers, Shirley Tapley, Bonifay, James Bodie, Earl Bodie (Laura), Esto, Sue Palmer, Bonifay, Faye Fennell, Tallahassee, Arvil Bodie, Graceville, Mae London (Rick), St. Cloud, and Ray Bodie (Debbie), Graceville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at their home 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014. We would like to express a special "thank you" to Covenant Hospice Nurses and Staff, Daisy Jones Roland, Terrie Allen, other family and friends for the care and kindness you have shown during this time.
