Paul Wade Crooks, age 32, of Chipley passed from this life on Saturday, June 5, 2010 while in Vermont. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chipley and a resident of Chipley. He was a loving father and husband. He served his country proudly as a member of the National Guard. He was employed at the Housing Authority in Chipley. He loved fishing with his family and also loved to hunt. He played high school football at Slocomb High School and played baseball at Dothan Doug Tew Center. He also coached his daughter's softball team.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Crawford Crooks; father and mother, Phil and Vera Crooks; son Travis Minton; two daughters, Toni Crooks and Kassie Crooks; father –in-law and mother-in-law, John (Pete) and Shari Crawford; sister, Betsy (Crook) Willlett; grandmother, Voncile (Tince) Fountain; nieces and nephews, Monica Smith, Meagan Sanders, Anna Jane Willett, Payton Willett, and Camron Willett.
He was predeceased by his grand father, Malone (Buck) Fountain.
The family received visitors at Williams Funeral Home in Graceville on Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 6-8pm. Funeral services were held on Friday June 11, 2010 at 2pm at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
