Robert William Albritton, Jr., age 88 of Cottondale, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Jackson County Hospital. Robert was born December 29, 1922 in Bonifay, to the late Robert W. Sr. and Dixie (Burns) Albritton. He had been a resident of Cottondale for the past eight years, moving there from Chipley. Mr. Albritton was a WWII veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy. He was a former ticket agent for National Airlines and a member of the Vernon Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include one son, William E. Albritton of Arlington, Virginia and a loving companion of nine years, Mary Catherine Braxton of Cottondale.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10 a.m., at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with the Dr. Larry Wade and James Gray Braxton officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to service time. Interment followed in Piney Grove Cemetery in the Duncan Community. Serving as pallbearers were Jamie Braxton, Ryan Daniels, Tyler Braxton Addison, Bob Dowie, Jack Morris and Stacey Hartzog. Friends and family may sign the online register at www.brownfh.net.
