Chasity A. Jackson, 14 years old of Caryville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Gulf Coast Medical Center Pediatric Unit of Panama City. She was a member of St. Mary A.M.E. Church in Caryville. She was a student in the Public School System of Washington County where she was just promoted to the 9th Grade at Vernon High School.
She leaves to cherish her memories forever her parents, April (Trevor) Nettles and Terry Jackson; siblings, Devontay, Terrance, Tyrease, Jeermiah and Shapria Jene'; grandmother, Rachel Nettles; great-grandmothers, Lillie Nettles, Eloise Oliver and Pearlie Edwards; one aunt; four uncles; cousins; classmates and many sorrowful friends.
The remains were in repose at the Vernon Middle School Gym one hour prior to the services with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, directing. A celebration service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26 in the Vernon Middle School Gymnasium with the Rev. Aubrey Hurndon, the Rev. Malcolm O. Nelson and the Rev. Richard Davis, officiating. The committal services will take place in the St. Matthew Cemetery of Caryville, immediately following the services.
