Armetta J. Creel, age 92, of Cottondale, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at her home. Armetta was born July 30, 1920 in Cottondale to the late William Thomas and Mary Magdalene (Davis) Justice. She was a homemaker, a member of the Lovewood Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star #129 and Amrant in Marianna. Her family and gardening were the loves of her life.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Silas Olen Creel; one daughter, Mary Bryan; four brothers, Columbus Justice, Perry Justice, Leslie Justice and Marty Justice, and one sister, Lena Pearl Campbell.
Survivors include one son, Olen Jerome Creel of Silver Springs; three daughters, Mildred Thomas and husband John of Dothan, Ala., Sarah Annette Knowles of Cottondale, and Brenda C. Walker and husband Everett of St. Cloud; one brother, Leon Justice of Cottondale; one sister, Lillian Carlton of Tallahassee; seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
The family received friends Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m., at Brown Funeral Home, Main Street Chapel in Chipley. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2 p.m., at the graveside in Lovewood Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson County.
