Robert "Bob" Geddes

Mr. Robert John "Bob" Geddes, age 84 years, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Care Group on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Bob was born in Port Arthur on April 20, 1930 and was a lifetime resident. In his professional career as a Chartered Accountant Bob worked for F.H. Black Accounting, Clarkson and Gordon and finally Ernst & Young before his retirement. He truly enjoyed fishing and hunting, the camp at Loon Lake and golfing and curling at T.B.C.C. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne (with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in October of this year), son Andy (Jenny Lee), daughter Betsy (Wayne) Thiessen, grandchildren Mitchell and Jessica Geddes and Alexander, William and Nicholas Thiessen, brother Lorne Geddes as well as by nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents William and Ethel Geddes and brother Donald. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff at St. Joseph's Care Group for the care and compassion shown to Bob during his time there. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street.
