Kenneth Hutton Obituary

With heavy hearts the Hutton family announces the passing of a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother Kenneth Donald Hutton, aged 87 years, lifetime resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice on Wednesday, November 14th, 2012. Born in Port Arthur on November 17th, 1924 to John and Grace Hutton, Ken attended Shuniah Public School and Hillcrest High School and served in the Royal Canadian Navy in WWII. Ken was a devoted husband and father of seven children and a long-time member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church. Dad loved life and cherished the many hours spent with his family and friends. He was an enthusiastic outdoor walker and an avid bridge player and golfer.Ken was predeceased by the love of his life and favorite bridge partner, Dorothy, in 2001, by his eldest daughter, Judith Ann Etherington, in 1984, and by his parents John and Grace Hutton in 1984. Ken is survived by daughter, Beverley Gardner (Grant) of St. John's, his sons John K., Ralph (Jane) of Toronto, Paul (Bonnie), Robert (Debbie), and Brian of Burlington, eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his sister Margaret Cattani; nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 21st, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, 88 Clayte Street. Visitation will be at the church prior to the Mass from 10:00 - 10:50am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay, 63 Carrie St., Thunder Bay, ON P7A 4J2, or to the Salvation Army.On-line condolencesmay be made through www.nwfainc.com"
