Robert Prouse Obituary

Robert John Prouse passed away on Sunday, October 19th, 2014 at the age of 66 after a courageous fight with cancer with the love of his life, his wife Dianne, at his side. Bob was born in Brantford Ont. on November 12th, 1947. Bob joined the RCMP in 1969 and was stationed in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario. Once out of the RCMP Bob became Chief of Security at Great Lakes Forest Products. Bob was also a published author when he co-authored a book on Security that was used in colleges across Canada in their Law & Security programs. Bob moved to Winnipeg after his children were grown up and joined the Manitoba Justice Department as a Sheriff, until his retirement in January 2014. Bob loved fishing and hunting and his four grandchildren, Finnoula, Berrit, Taylor and Brenna. Bob is also survived by sons Jeff (Richelle), and John (Stacey). A private service was held for Bob in Russell, Manitoba and any donations are asked to be directed to the St. Joseph's Heritage Fund (Palliative Care) in Thunder Bay."
