Bussinger, Jerry Dean - Citrus Springs
Jerry Dean Bussinger, 58, of Citrus Springs, Florida, passed away Dec. 10, 2014, with his friends and family by his side. Jerry was born Nov. 20, 1956, to Gwendolyn Bussinger and the late Arden Jack Bussinger, in Massillon, Ohio, and grew up in the city of Brewster, Ohio. He attended Fairless High School, class of 1974. Jerry moved from Brewster, Ohio, to Largo in 1974, where he married Patti Brown on Nov. 28, 1980. They and their two children moved to Citrus County in 1988. Jerry worked in pool construction then was a truck driver for Closetmaid until 2008. Anyone who ever met Jerry was instantly drawn to him because of his caring and genuine personality. He was always someone who could be counted on when needed. Nothing made him happier than helping others and to see the smiles on everyone else's faces. One of his favorite things to do was to enjoy a day at Disney World with his family, and he was anticipating a Disney family cruise in April 2015. Jerry was the glue that kept his family together and was relied on by many people. So many lives will never be the same, yet will always be the better for having him in them no matter for how long. Jerry is survived by his wife, Patti; son Matthew (Nicoletta), Largo; daughter Melissa, Beverly Hills; and grandson Marcus. He is also survived by his mother, Gwen; sister Pat (Don) Deal; brothers Jack and Robert (Carol); many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Moose. A memorial service for Jerry will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beverly Hills. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Bussinger home to celebrate Jerry's life. All are invited and welcome. Arrangements entrusted to Fero Funeral Home,
