Momono, Thomas Hideo - Inverness
Thomas Hideo Momono, age 70, Inverness, passed away on April 19, 2015, at his residence surrounded by those he loved. Tom was born on April 8, 1945, to William and Helen (Kuroiwa) Momono. Tom served our country in the United States Navy. He retired from Yellow Freight, where he worked on the dock and occasionally drove on the road locally. Tom's first love and devotion was to our savior Jesus Christ. His family was his next highest love and priority. Tom loved fishing and being outdoors. Very physically active, always surprising people of his age. He found great joy making others laugh. All who knew Tom could not help but love him. Master of jokes and pranks, his laughter, energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor will be greatly missed. His passion to share the love of Jesus Christ was always evident as a youth pastor, Sunday school teacher or when ministering to the homeless. He was a man of great generosity in many ways. Deeply loved by his family, he leaves behind many, including his wife Sharon. Tom was a devoted and loving father of two daughters, Christy (John) Pusey and Breann Wells, who will hold tightly to cherished memories of him. Tom will be missed dearly by his five grandchildren, Ariana and J.T. (John Thomas) Pusey and Jacob, Ashlynn and Logan Crawford. He is survived by his father William Momono; and three siblings, his brothers Robert and Richard (Karen) and sister Gayle (Kenneth); along with seven nieces and nephews, Robert, Koji, Bryce, Ryan, Jayce, Erin and Darren. A celebration of Tom's life will be at 6 p.m. May 7, 2015, at Inverness Church of God, 416 U.S. 41 South, Inverness, FL 34450. Anyone is welcome to attend. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
