Smalley, Robert L "Bob" - Salem  
Robert L. "Bob" Smalley, 80, of rural Salem, Indiana, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at his home. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. A Celebration of Life Service will be at noon Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Henryville, Indiana. Family and friends may visit on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial of cremains will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery with military graveside services.

Smith, Hedda Sybil (Lubin) - Chicago  
Hedda Sybil (Lubin) Smith, 82, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her home in Lecanto, Florida, on the evening of Monday, March 9, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Marc Lubin; her children, Marty (Renee) Sachs, Eric (Jody) Pilka, Bobby (Judy) Sachs, Naomi (Will) Cherowbrier, Danny (Cindy) Pilka and Adam (Cheryl) Sachs. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lindsey, Courtney, Lisa, Kelly, Joey, Kim, Alex, Andy, Bradley, Aaron, Davey; and her great-grandson, Ben. She is predeceased by her late husband, Joseph "Sonny" Smith. Hedda lived life on her own terms for better or worse, but mostly for better. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, enjoyed traveling and relished frequent social gatherings with her many friends. She wore many hats throughout her life, working as a teacher, community activist and later became a clown for Hospice, which gave her tremendous joy. Hedda was active in her community and enjoyed working with various charitable and civic organizations. Her friends and family will miss her zest for life, her positive outlook and her great sense of humor. A celebration of life ceremony will be hell 12 to 2:30 p.m., March 28, 2015, at the Crystal Oaks Community Center at 4958 W. Crystal Oaks Drive, Lecanto, to celebrate her life. All are welcome. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Citrus, hospiceof citrus.org.

Smith, Ruth D - Inglis  
Ruth D. Smith, 97, of Inglis, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast. She was born May 5, 1917, in Wellsville, New York, to the late Paul and Beatrice (Smith) Davie and came to Florida 25 years ago from there. She was a graduate of Alfred University and maintained a lifelong interest in her alma mater. She was married for 59 years to the late George Smith, a WWII U.S. Army Veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne. Always ready to entertain she and George held many gatherings of family and friends at their house on the banks of the Genesee River. As an elementary librarian, in the Wellsville Central schools, she shared her love of books with many children. Music was an important part of her life as she was the church organist at the Christian Temple for many years and continued to sing in the church choir of the Parson's Memorial Presbyterian Church until shortly before her death. She also enjoyed her membership in the Yankeetown Garden Club and the Yankeetown Women's Club. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Smith; daughter, Barbara Wilman; granddaughters, Jessica Smith, Abigail Liu and family and Emily Gray and family; a sister, Elizabeth Dickerson; and sister-in-law, Mrs. John McCracken. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday March 30, 2015, at Parson's Memorial Presbyterian Church. Strickland Funeral Home with Crematory of Crystal River is assisting the family with arrangements.

Smith, Walter A - Beverly Hills  
Walter A Smith, age 79, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away March 19, 2015, at his home. Born July 21, 1935, in Queens, New York, to Robert Walter and Gwedolyn (Crawford) Smith. Walter moved to Citrus County three years ago from Seminole. He was a retired Machinist, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the NRA, an avid scuba diver and he was a great outdoorsman loving hunting, fishing and boating. Walter is survived by two children, Tina M. Riddle and Sean Smith; one sister, Gwen and her husband Robert "Buz" Bernard; two brothers, Jack Smith and Edward and his wife Linda Smith; six grandchildren, Dekota, Dillion and Dalton Riddle, Kaylee and Abby Smith and Joseph Davis; four great-grandchildren, Derek Riddle, Madison and Cason Powell and Joseph Davis. Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto.

Striler, Della Marie - Inverness  
Della Marie Striler, 79, of Inverness, Florida, passed March 26, 2015, at the HPH Hospice Care Center in Lecanto. Della was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Belgique, Missouri, daughter of Joseph and Lucille Phillips. She moved to Miami in 1953 and worked as a waitress at the Walgreens on Biscayne Blvd in Miami Beach and also as a bartender at Congers Lounge in Miami Beach. She retired and then moved to Inverness in 1985 where she worked as a Bartender at the VFW Post 4337. Della, better known as Marie, was well known for the love of her dogs. Through out the years she raised Miniature Schnauzers and Yorkshire Terriers. Survivors include her son, Robert C Striler Jr. (Gail) of Orlando; daughter, Barbara Mills (Jim) of Inverness, and Karen Helt (Gregg of Dunnellon; grandchildren, James Striler, Eric Striler, Brian Mills, Kevin Mills, Samantha Mills, Shane Helt, Kyle Helt, and Meghan Nelson; great-grandchildren, Kailey, Courtney, Gabriel, Kylie, Haylee, and Logan. Flowers are welcome, or please consider donations in Marie's honor to Operation Welcome Home, HPH of Lecanto, or your local animal shelter. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Heinz Funeral Home. The family will greet friends form 10 a.m. till the time of Service.
