Hopkins, Stephen L - Hernando  
Stephen L. Hopkins, 55, of Hernando, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at his home. A native of Oxford, England, he was born March 24, 1959, the only child to George and Evelyn (Stammler) Hopkins. Steve was an employee of Dick's Sporting Goods in Ocala at the time of his death, but had also served as a liquor department manager for Albertson's, first in Clearwater, then in Ocala. Mr. Hopkins moved to Hernando in 1993 from Seminole and as an avid airboat owner, was a member of the Citrus County Airboat Association. In addition to his father George, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 6 years, Sherrie Hopkins, on May 10, 2014. Steve is survived by his mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Ernest Van Horn, Hernando; step-children, Kelli-Ann Wallace ( Robert) and Krista Johnson (Michael), both of Clermont, Kasi Kaneshige (Melanie Porter), Beverly Hills, Ian Kaneshige (Heidi), Toms River, New Jersey, Erik Kaneshige (Trinity), Beverly Hills and Ryan Kaneshige, Hernando; and step-grandchildren, Kortnee, Madison, Zackery, Sydney, Elizabeth, Meghan, Jayden, Caleb, Camron and Norah; as well as step-nephew, Nicholas. Hynds, Mary - Homosassa  
Mary Arliss Hynds, 69, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at HPH Hospice in Lecanto. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, she was born Jan. 6, 1946, to Thomas and Jeanne (Kelley) Park, one of three children. Arliss, as she was known to everyone, was a retired certified legal assistant and moved to Homosassa 15 years ago from Hollywood. She was a past member of both Women of the Elks (West Citrus Lodge) and the Greenbelt Committee of Sugarmill Woods Homeowner's Association, both of Homosassa. Arliss was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard N. "Dick" Hynds, Jan. 2, 2013; and her two siblings, Thomas Allan Park and Patrice Ellen Park; as well as an aunt, Ruth Park Irvine. Mrs. Hynds is survived by her three children, Michael Hynds (wife Sharon), Hollywood, Lynn Craig (husband Clyde), Homosassa, and Rick Hynds (wife Trang), Scottsdale, Arizona; cousin, Holly Kelley Stortz, New York; nephew, Gary Park, North Carolina; grandchildren, Todd, Kayde, Megan, Janna and Allison; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Christian, Felicia and Trent; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Arliss' life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, from Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Friends will be received from 2 P.m. until time of celebration. Johns, Raymond J. - Inverness  
Mr. Raymond J. Johns, age 84, of Inverness, FL died Thursday, March 26, 2015. Mr. Johns was born December 24, 1930 in Orange City, FL, son of the late Ottie and Gertrude (Streamas) Johns. Mr. Johns was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and returned home to Florida from East Hartford, CT in 1989. He worked at the Connecticut Bank & Trust as Senior Tax Consultant and Certified Property Manager. He also worked as Correspondent Appraiser for the New York LIfe Insurance Company and retired from the State of Connecticut as Supervisor of the Public Works Leasing Department. Mr. Johns was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores Dawley, his second wife and love of his life, Edna Johns, brother Randall Johns and sister, Pauline Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his four sons, Stephen Johns, Peter (Linda) Johns, all of West Hartford, CT, Christopher Johns of Tallahassee, FL, Timothy Johnson of Collinsville, CT, his daughters, Mary (James) Quinn and Elizabeth Johns, all of West Hartford, CT, step-daughter, Elizabeth Zeman of Branford, CT, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services for Mr. Johns will be held in Connecticut at a later date with inurnment to take place at Rosehill Cemetery, Rocky HIll, CT. Klomp, Emma - Wethersfield  
Emma Klomp of Homosassa, FL died peacefully under the loving care of Hospice of Citrus County in February of this year after a brief illness. Mrs. Klomp was a resident of Ivoryton, CT for more than six decades before retiring to Florida in the 1990s. Born on November 20, 1929, in New York City, she lived an active and amazing life. She was generous, funny, hardworking and loving. Mrs. Klomp graduated from Miami (FL) High School and worked with her parents Ernest and Emma Patalano as a hostess in the hotel industry in New York, Florida and the Caribbean. In 1949 she met and married her first husband Robert Munson, a Merchant Marine stationed in Miami, FL. He was the captain of the F.W. Woolworth family private yacht. They had three children together. After Robert's sudden passing, Emma started her own flower and African violet business in Ivoryton. She also worked at Turbo Products Inc. where she met her second husband, Johan Klomp. They married and had two children. Johan had four children from his first marriage: Robert Klomp, Nancy Greaves, Rebecca Riggio and Betsy Rumplik. Emma had many interests and hobbies in her lifetime. She rode horses for a summer after high school in Yellowstone Park. She was a gourmet cook, expert gardener, played the guitar and piano, learned to sail with Johan and sang in the shoreline singing group Capella Cantorum. She fly fished and tied her own fly lures. She worked as a Home Health Aide. In her 70s, she started watercolor painting and shared her beautiful paintings with her family. After she retired, she volunteered at the ASPCA and the Homosassa Elementary School. Emma was predeceased in by her husband Johan (2009) and her daughter Linda (2008). She is survived by her son Karl and his wife Alice, of Cincinnati, OH; daughter Karen Watters and her husband Lee and son Augie of Jacksonville Beach, FL; daughter Johanna, her husband James and their children Olivia and Derek of Wethersfield, CT; and son Jan and his wife Joanne and their children Nicholas and Elizabeth of Ivoryton, CT. A private service will be celebrated this spring. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Emma's name to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL, 34464.
