Donaire, Ernesto - Crystal River  
Dr. Ernesto G. Donaire, 71, of Crystal River died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at his residence. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Crystal River. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, Crystal River. A second visitation followed by Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Fatima and St. Cajetan, Weeki Wachee. Burial will follow in the Shrine Cemetery.

Donaire, Ernesto - St. Petersburg  
With great sadness, the family of Ernesto G. Donaire, M.D., of Crystal River, FL announces his passing on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the age of 71. He was born in Cebu, Philippines, on September 26, 1943, son of the late Mayor Alfonso Donaire, Sr. and Mercedes Gorre. He graduated from medical school at Southwestern University, Cebu City, and completed his postgraduate training at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Donaire practiced as an anesthesiologist for over 30 years in Crystal River, Sebring and Dade City. He retired in 2010. His hobbies included tennis, golf, gardening, and cooking. He was a big sports fan and natural athlete. He was an active member of the Divine Mercy Prayer Group. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Susana T. Donaire, M.D.; and children, Grace D. Foust and her husband Joel, of San Diego; Cecile D. Fleckten and her husband Eric, of Singapore; and Emily T. Donaire of Tampa. He was cherished by four grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Alfonso G. Donaire, Jr. and wife Faith and their three sons and daughter; and his sister Fe Romero and husband Ely and their daughter, two sons, and two grandchildren. In total, he has thirteen nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. If they wish, friends may make memorial donations in lieu of flowers to The Divine Mercy Prayer Group, Crystal River. The viewing will be held at Strickland Funeral Home in Crystal River on Friday, September 4th from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A mass will be held on Thursday, September 3rd at 3:00 pm at St. Benedict Catholic Church. A second viewing followed by Mass at 11:30 a.m. will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Fatima of Cajetan, Weeki Wachee, on Saturday, September 5th prior to burial at the Shrine of Our Lady Cemetery, Weeki Wachee. "Eternal rest grant onto him, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace."

Duffy, Hugh J. "Duff" - Beverly Hills  
Mr. Hugh J. (Duff) Duffy, age 88, died Friday, June 12, 2015, in Beverly Hills, FL. Born June 7, 1927 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Hugh and Hazel (Lynch) Duffy. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he attended Syracuse University. Duff worked as a fireman for the Syracuse Fire Department for 25 years and became an independent contractor after his retirement. He spent many years at the cottage he built on Lake Ontario at Stony Point prior to moving to Florida. Duff loved spending time on the water, playing golf and most importantly spending time with his beloved wife Shirley. Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. Duffy of Beverly Hills, FL, sister, Jeanne M. Carpenter of Cicero, NY, nephews, Gary Carpenter, Michael Carpenter and Paul Carpenter, and niece, Lynda Carpenter. Fletcher, Helen - Lake Mary  
The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Helen F. Fletcher, age 89, of Lake Mary, Florida, formerly of Beverly Hills, FL will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Beverly Hills Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will take place on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, Florida. Mrs. Fletcher was born August 24, 1926 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Harold and Helen (Zenke) Keith. She died August 26, 2015 in Lake Mary, FL. She worked as a railroad supervisor and moved to Lake Mary from Beverly Hills. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach and baked a delicious cheesecake. She loved sports, especially the Tampa Bay Rays and the Chicago Cubs. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post # 10087, Beverly Hills, Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #237, Beverly Hills, Ladies Auxiliary BPOE #2522, Inverness and the First United Methodist Church of Hernando. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph James Fletcher, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include son, James (Karin) Fletcher of Peachtree Corners, GA, 2 daughters, Diane Fletcher of Longwood and Joan (Bruce) Retzsch, Boca Raton, 8 grandchildren, Christopher (Katie) Chladek, David (Maggie) Chladek, Scott Chladek, Melissa (Joe) Darin, Jonathan (Ashley) Retzsch, Erika Retzsch, Eric Fletcher, Jeremy Retzsch and 9 great grandchildren, Lacey, Kylie, Mason, Tessa, Lizzie, Will, Taylor, Ryan and Savannah.

Harris, Pallas - Hernando  
Pallas Atthenia Harris, 55 of Hernando, Florida passed away on August 26, 2015. Pallas attended the Public schools of Citrus County (The Carver, Crystal River, Crystal River Middle and Crystal High Schools). She was employed at numerous jobs where she was always excel to bring a supervisor. Pallas was a loving mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend and Co-worker. She was also known as "Ms. P." by her clients at Cypress Creek Juvenile Facility. Pallas also loved and enjoyed spending time eating crabs with her close family and friends. She looked forward to watching wrestling and her Florida Gators. Pallas accepted the Lord as her personal Savior where she found peace. Pallas leaves to cherish her memories: Her Mother Ola Harris, Children: Eric Harris Sr., Terence (Vanessa) Hollis and El'Leonte (Zippoira) Cooks. Grandchildren: D'asia, Erionna, Eric Jr., Tierykah Harris, TJ, Tyshawn Hollis and Za'kairiah Cooks. Siblings: Jesse (Raquel) Harris, Angelia (Theodore) Hopkins, Ann Williams, Sheldon McCoy, Sterling Harris, Anthony (Suzette) Stokes, Timothy (Catrice) Patterson and Kevin (Jessica) Hicks. The Celebration for Mrs. Pallas A.. Harris will be held on Saturday September 5, 2015, 11:00 A.M at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church (2105 N. Georgia Road) Crystal River, Florida 34429. Interment will follow in Crystal Memorial Gardens Crystal River, Florida. Wake will be held on Friday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church from 6-8 P.M. Viewing will be help one hour prior to services. Services are under the Direction of Carnegie Funeral Home 217 SE 4th Ave., Chiefland, Florida 32626. "Providing Everlasting Memories"
