Bette Lee Leistinger, 75, of Crystal River, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born April 17, 1937, in Cambridge, Mass., to J. Chester and Elizabeth (Coady) Mullen, Bette Lee moved to Citrus County in 2004 coming from Exeter, N.H. and Gloucester, Mass. Bette Lee was a graphic artist and client executive during her career and retired from Cricket Press in Manchester By The Sea, Mass. She was a member of the St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, the League of Women Voters in Hamilton, Mass., and she was representative to the Meadowcrest Board for the Fairmont Village.
In addition to her parents, Bette Lee was preceded in death by her sister, Cecile Mullen and her brother J. Chester Mullen Jr. Survived by her husband, Lawrence L. Leistinger of Crystal River; one son, Stephen Leistinger of Marlborough, Mass.; two sisters, Marietta Guaragna of Hudson and Ellen Callahan of Falmouth, Mass.; sister-in-law, Janet Mullen of Hudson; brother-in-law, John Guaragna of Hudson; four grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicole, Lindsey and Griffin; and one great-grandson, Jack.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto.
