Dominick N. Paparazzi, 93, Inverness, died Aug 19, 2013, at Citrus Health & Rehab Center of Inverness. Mr. Paparazzi was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jan. 22, 1920, to the late Frank and Rachel Paparazzi and moved to this area in 1971 from Staten Island. He was a retired carpenter from the Carpenter's Union Local 2287 in New York. He served our country during WW II in the Army and was a life member of VFW
Post 4337. After arriving in Inverness, he worked for Joe's Carpet and installed rugs and floors in many of the original Gulf Homes. He also worked for Walt Disney Properties, having installed carpet in many of their original hotels. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Highland Civic Association (Charter Member), Highlands Volunteer Fire Dept, Knights of Columbus, and Italian American Club.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann Alletto Paparazzi; four children, Rachel M. Spencer of Inverness, Patricia (Barry) Greenfield, St. Petersburg; Dominick (Jeneen) Paparazzi, Brandon; Joseph (Janice) Paparazzi, Pembroke Pines; one sister, Rose Giordano, Stoneham, Mass.; seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Paparazzi; two brothers, Joseph and John; and his sister, Betty.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, (today) from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Military Honors to follow. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home today from 11 to 12:45 p.m., when the procession will leave for the church. Following Mass, there will be a gathering at the Citrus Italian-American Club in Inverness.
