Herbert F. Fallon, 84, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Hospice House in Lecanto. A native of Haverill, Mass., he was born Sept. 19, 1929, to James and Delma Fallon, one of three children. Herb, as he was known to many, was a machinist by profession and retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, N.H., where he spent 20 years as a shipfitter, building submarines for the U.S. Navy
. He moved to Homosassa 20 years ago from Apopka, and was a Korean War
veteran of the U.S. Army
Mr. Fallon leaves behind his loving wife, Jessie A. Fallon of Homosassa. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage Feb. 24. Herb is also survived by his daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Grant, also of Homosassa; son, Fred Fallon, Epping, N.H.; brother, Wilfred Fallon, Portsmouth, N.H.: sister, Margaret Bein, Brookville; grandchildren, Erick Fallon, Rochester, N.H., and Tyna Devine, Cartersville, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Joshua and Dillan Devine, Cartersville, Ga.
