Kimberly Ann Silverie, 42, a native of Atlantic Beach, Long Island, N.Y., passed away at Community Hospital, May 30, 2013. She was born July 30, 1970. A graduate of Citrus High School in Inverness, Fla., and Monterey Peninsula College, she has lived in Carmel, Calif., for the past 24 years.
Kimberly was a homemaker and aerobics instructor who especially enjoyed being outdoors. She was an avid walker and hiker who was seen all over Carmel walking with her children.
Kimberly is survived by her husband of 17 years, Daniel Silverie IV; her children, Isabelle Sophia (age 9) and Oliver Hart (age 2 ½); her parents, Margaret Buckingham and Leonard Van Galen; her siblings, Jason Van Galen and Lisa Sewell; nephews, Austin Cook and Jonah Van Galen; her cousins, Lar Lopez, Cathy Lopez, Jasmine Lopez, Nicholas Lopez; her aunt, Eleanor Lopez; her husband's parents, Bertha Silverie and Dan III and Tricia Silverie; as well as his siblings, Audra Amlicke and Joseph Silverie.
A celebration of life will be between 1 and 4 p.m. June 15, 2013, at Coach/s in Inverness.
