Loretta L. Trochimowicz, 92, of Brentwood Retirement Community, 1900 W Alpha Ct, Lecanto, Florida, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Born Oct. 29, 1921, in Flemington, Pennsylvaia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Alger Fultz Shade. Loretta attended the Flemington School.
On August 6, 1940 in Winchester, Virginia, she married John J. Trochimowicz who preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1993. In her earlier days, Loretta babysat. From 1969 until 1974 she managed the snack bar at Belle Springs Golf Course. She was then employed by Big N in Mill Hall from 1978 until 1985. Loretta was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary as well as a charter member of the V.F.W
Surviving is a sister, Patricia Berry of Rote; a son, Daniel E. Trochimowicz of Florida; four grandchildren, Andrea, Christine, Anthony, and Dana; and four great-grandchildren, Avery, Allie, Colin, and Zakery. In addition to her husband, Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Johanna L. Bove; four sisters, Betty Kramer, Irene Dunlap, Sarah Cotner, and Georgian Rossman; and four brothers, George Shade, Jack Shade, Morgan Shade and Fred Shade.
A memorial service will be in October at St. Agnes Cemetery Chapel, Lock Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the
