Mathew Christopher Jackzentis, 40, of Lutz, Fla., passed away Jan. 10, 2013, and was welcomed into the arms of his dad, grandfather and aunt Ann.
Mathew arrived in this area in 1983, coming from New York. He dearly loved his family; his mom, stepdad, brother George and his family; his sister Robyn; his aunt Pinkie; Uncle Pat; Aunt Nuppie; and all his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mat loved to fish anywhere there was water and could often be found teaching a youngster the proper way to hold a rod or reel in that big one. Mat could also weld, build with fiberglass and lay cable, and was a fair mechanic. He will be sorely missed by family, friends and fishing buddies, especially Jake and his family, Cliff and his family, Nick and his little boy, and all the friends he made along the way. Mathew is now happily casting his line in the fish-filled waters of his heavenly home.
His ashes will be scattered in the Gulf, per his wishes. Contributions may be made in Mat's name to the Florida Wildlife Federation to preserve the fishing grounds he so loved. Private arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, Fla.
