Shirley Ann Bonta, 79, of Homosassa, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. A native of Gary, Ind., she was born Dec. 23, 1932 to Desidarius and Ann
(Felber) Bottos, one of two children. Shirley was a retired loan clerk for U.S. Steel Sheet and Tin Federal Credit Union in Gary, Ind., and moved from Crown Point, Ind., to Homosassa 18 years ago. Mrs. Bonta was a parishioner of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Crystal River and was an avid reader and loved to play cards with friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 62 years, Domenic Bonta, Homosassa; sons, David Anthony Bonta (Sharon), Homosassa; son, Ricky Robert Bonta (Maxine), Portage, Ind.; daughter, Lori Lynn Walsko (Chuck),
Trinity; son Anthony Allen Bonta, Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Sharon Denise Gray (Bill), Green Bay, Wis.; brother David Bottos (Cass), Monticello, Ind.; grandchildren, Jason, Hannah, Danny, Joshua, James, Denise, Aaron, Kyle, Courtney, Kevin and Julie and great grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Christina, Bo, Benjamin, Katelyn, Leah and Molly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bonta was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Danielle.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Crystal River, with Fr. Ryszard Stradomski, celebrant. Interment will be private.
