Victor Pinchin

Victor Pinchin passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Streetsville, Ontario, where he lived his life of 93 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty in 2008, he is profoundly missed by his sons, Ed and Don, their wives Bryn and Lydia, his five grandchildren, Gillian, Robin, their husbands, Bernard and Michael, and Karen, her husband Sean, Veronica and Graham. His five great grandchildren, Chloe, Theo, Ginger, Josephine and Isabelle are too young to appreciate his gentle affection.
Born in Clarkson, Vic lived most of his life in Streetsville. He spent his last years in Palisades on the Glen where his windows overlooked the school he attended as a boy. Vic was a farmer all his life. His apple orchard, Riviere Farms, was a part of Streetsville's heritage. Every fall his bold signs lined Mississauga Road announcing apple picking time. He loved to garden, he loved hunting and fishing with his sons, skiing with Betty and golfing with his friends. He made many good friends during his last years at the Palisades who greatly enriched his life there. His was a life with no regrets. He was loved by his family, cherished by his friends, and respected by his peers.
Vic was a longtime member of the Mississauga Golf Club, the Griffith Island Club in Wiarton, the Caledon Ski Club and the Southern Woods Golf Club in Homosassa, Fla. He was one of the founders of the Streetsville Glen Golf Club.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at the Lee Funeral Home, 258 Queen Street South, Streetsville, from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in Streetsville United Church, 274 Queen Street South, Streetville.
