Mr. Les Foster, 56, of Crystal River, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at his home. A native of Columbia, S.C., he moved to this area in 1968, coming here from Charleston, S.C. He worked for many years in his family's business, The Holiday Inn, Silver Springs, where he served as the vice-president. Les was very active in Ocala, where he played both softball and tennis, was a member of the Ft. King Tennis Association, the Ocala Elk's Lodge #286, and was a graduate of the University of Florida. Les loved anything outdoors, and especially enjoyed boating and fishing in Crystal River. He was also an avid Florida Gators Fan. He was raised in Grace Episcopal Church, and later became a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam Foster; his daughters, Randi Dugas (Nathan), and Taylor Trenary (Clayton); his parents, Jo and E.L. Foster Jr.; his sister, Lynn Foster; and his grandchildren, Easton, Ryleigh, and Oliver.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Christ the King Anglican Church, 3801 N. U.S. 441, Ocala, with the Rev. Donald J. Curran Jr., officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
